River Bluff Brewing is a craft brewery in St. Joseph, Missouri, built inside a renovated building that once housed two pre-Prohibition breweries, with 1800s cellars still beneath the floor. This was a Marks Media project on WordPress, and I was the primary full-stack developer.
The brand leans hard into St. Joe’s Gold Rush history, so the site had to carry a rich, textured, vintage look without feeling heavy or slow. The centerpiece is the beer menu, where each beer is its own entry with its ABV, tasting notes, and photo, flagged as new when something fresh hits the taps, so the lineup stays easy to keep current. Around it sits everything a working taproom needs: an events calendar, group and private-event booking, the team and the brewery’s story, and details for both the St. Joseph flagship and the newer Kansas City River Market location.
