Overview

Elliot Park Hotel was a brand-new WordPress website built for a new boutique hotel in downtown Minneapolis. While serving as Technical Solutions Architect at MMGY Global, I led the full development, hosting, and launch of the project.

This was MMGY Global’s first WordPress build, and I was the sole developer responsible for bringing it to life. Working closely with an MMGY designer, I translated the visual direction into a fully custom WordPress theme with a flexible content system, responsive layouts, dynamic motion, and direct integrations for hotel and restaurant bookings.

Custom WordPress Theme

Built from the ground up as a fully custom WordPress theme, with limited reliance on plugins and the majority of functionality handled in-house.
ACF Flexible Content

Structured around Advanced Custom Fields flexible content blocks, giving content editors a modular system for building pages while preserving the integrity of the design.
Sole Developer

Led all development work from implementation through launch, including front-end development, back-end development, CMS architecture, hosting setup, and production deployment.
Responsive Design

Developed a responsive front-end experience that preserved the site’s layered editorial design, photography, typography, and interactions across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
